Andrii Kateryniuk
Andrii Kateryniuk (born 1994 in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine) is a contemporary painter based in Florence, Italy. Working primarily with traditional oil painting, Kateryniuk is best known for his figurative and landscape paintings.
The artist’s work is rooted in his classical training and shaped by studying the Western tradition of oil painting, particularly the 19th-century style. His technique combines meticulous craftsmanship with a focus on the interplay of light and shadow. Kateryniuk’s compositions explore atmospheric landscapes and solitary figures, all unified by a focus on light and its emotional resonance. Through meticulous craftsmanship and a nuanced use of light and shadow, his paintings evoke a profound sense of stillness and introspection, offering an intimate glimpse into the solitude and reflective nature of his subjects.
Kateryniuk’s work is represented by Arcadia Contemporary Gallery in New York, NY, and has been featured in notable exhibitions, including the Royal Society of Portrait Painters annual exhibition and Award Winning Artists at Mall Galleries in London, UK . He has also participated in the LA Art Show at the LA Convention Center, USA. Kateryniuk’s paintings are part of the permanent collection of the New Salem Museum and Art Renewal Centre.
